Welcome to APIMONDIA
APIMONDIA exists to promote scientific, ecological, social and economic apicultural development in all countries and the cooperation of beekeepers` associations, scientific bodies and of individuals involved in apiculture worldwide.
APIMONDIA also aims to put into practice every initiative that can contribute to improving apiculture practice and to rendering the obtained products profitable.
A major objective of APIMONDIA is to facilitate the exchange of information and discussions. This is done by organising congresses, conferences and seminars where beekeepers, scientist, honey-traders and legislators meet to listen discuss and learn from one another.
From the internet you can get a vast amount of information. Journals with a referee system, to evaluate the quality of the information, is more important than ever before. APIACTA the APIMONDIA journal is on the internet. The objective of APIACTA is to cover the gap between the national beekeeping magazines and the highly scientific journals. APIACTA is for the scientist and the beekeeper. The published papers have been selected by the Presidents of the 7 Standing Commissions of APIMONDIA.
There is a great need to meet the people with whom you communicate, face to face. The APIMONDIA congresses and seminars give you the possibility. The APIMONDIA congresses are the main meeting points for everybody involved in apicultural practice and science all over the world. We organise several specialised events, conferences, seminars and meeting look at our list of events.
To achieve the goals of APIMONDIA we need your support. Ask your beekeepers association to become a member, if they aren't. Join the congresses. Tell people about this homepage and give us you advice and suggestions to improve.
